Jack Grealish has fans celebrating once more, committing his future to help Aston Villa back into the Premier League.
The 23-year-old had fans off their seats on Sunday as he scored his dream goal against Birmingham City, as the Villans saw off their local rivals 4-2.
Dean Smith’s first derby win as Villa manager ensured his side moved closer to the Play-Off positions, rather than drop down the table as Birmingham did – the Blues are now as close to the top six as they are the bottom three.
Speaking in the days after the game, Grealish opened up on how his failed move to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer left him emotionally strained, noting: “The start of the season was tough for me, I had such a tough summer because I didn’t know where I was going to be.”
In the end, that future was to remain at Aston Villa and sign a new, improved five-year contract. But rather than slump in the misery of missing a move, Grealish rebounded and now hopes to guide the club to the Premier League.

In Grealish’s interview with the Independent, he added: “I think we belong in the Premier League, and who knows what can happen.
“All we need to do is just keep on performing, keep on winning. All I want to be is back in the Premier League with Villa.”
As always, Grealish speaking on his future opens some to ponder his exit, but not these Villans…
